House OM, Yokohama Japan
By Sou Fujimoto
“The three storey open house idea came from the client. They wanted a house with a courtyard with a rich atmosphere. As the site was comparatively small, just 72 square meters, I imagined the interior dwelling space as interwoven in complex ways with the exterior spaces. The house was transformed into an abstract, cloud-like organism. each floor is given a distinctive shape by slicing out a differently shaped exterior space.” – Sou Fujimoto

Philharmonic Hall Szczecin
Szczecin, Poland
2007 - 2014
The building emerges from its urban context, influenced by the steeply pitched roofs and the verticality of the city’s buildings, by the monumentality of the upright ornaments of its neo-Gothic churches. With an expressionist mindset, we have aimed to use geometry to give shape to a new rhythmic composition that conveys feelings by balancing massiveness and verticality. The use of glass as the exterior cladding material highlights how the building contrasts with the conditions of its surrounding environment. It creates a bright, transparent and upstanding object. The building’s interiors are simple. The symphonic hall differs from these in that it is a sculpted object embedded into a barely outlined mineral-like space.

Thionville
This project has the ambition of becoming a new model for media libraries. The programme calls the functions of a media library into question, lending it the content of a ‘third place’ – a place where members of the public become actors in their own condition, a place for creation as well as reception. In association with the basic programme, the building includes areas for displays, creation, music studios, and a café-restaurant. The various activities in the programme blend into each other, creating a dynamic arrangement. (..)

Balkrisna Doshi is an Indian architect. He is considered to be an important figure of Indian architecture and noted for his contributions to the evolution of architectural discourse in India. In 2018, he became the first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
This is my wooden 3D design of Sangath Architect’s Studio in Ahmedabad, India. The last winner of the video “My first Pritzker” that summarizes in an original and short way, 39 years of this reputable prize, a very valuable information that any architect or student should known. I hope this video will help the spreading it all over the world and be known for many people from different fields and professions, so they can enjoy it as much as I have doing it.
